A blacksmith gets around a lot, he experiences and hears a lot on the farms where he goes about his work every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So Jakob always has a story ready while he shoes the horses, because he likes to tell stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So time goes faster ’round. The most interesting story he has in store for us, and with which he – completely against his habit – only tells us when asked to do so, is that of his own life, marked by war, flight, privations and a tough but nevertheless beloved profession.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
